Message from the General Secretary

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the Rural Area Development Society (RADS), Marpara South, Lunglei, Mizoram.

Since its establishment, our Society has remained committed to the holistic development of rural and tribal communities by promoting education, skill development, cultural preservation, and sustainable livelihood opportunities. We believe that true progress begins at the grassroots level, and our efforts are directed toward empowering people with knowledge, self-reliance, and dignity.

Through our various initiatives—such as running educational institutions, organizing vocational training programmes, supporting traditional arts and crafts, and undertaking community welfare activities—we strive to create an inclusive environment where every individual has the opportunity to grow and contribute to society. Our work is guided by the spirit of service, unity, and harmony, with a strong focus on preserving indigenous heritage while embracing modern development.

Morning Huddles are short, focused gatherings organized at the start of the day to bring team members together with clarity and purpose. These sessions help in sharing updates, setting daily goals, and aligning everyone towards common objectives. They create a positive and motivated environment where ideas, challenges, and progress can be discussed openly. Morning Huddles also strengthen teamwork, improve communication, and build a sense of responsibility among participants. Through regular huddles, we ensure better coordination, discipline, and a productive start to every day.

The Basics

The Basics focus on building a strong foundation for learning and personal development. This includes essential skills such as reading, writing, communication, and basic life skills that are necessary for everyday growth. Since its establishment in 2004, our Society has been dedicated to the upliftment and empowerment of rural communities. We strongly believe that sustainable development begins at the grassroots level, where people are empowered with education, skills, and opportunities to improve their lives with dignity and confidence. The Rural Area Development Society works with a vision to promote social welfare, educational advancement, cultural preservation, and economic development among rural and tribal populations. Through our various programs and community initiatives, we aim to create awareness, strengthen local capacities, and support inclusive growth for all sections of society. Our journey would not have been possible without the support and cooperation of our members, partners, well-wishers, and the community we serve.
